Decoding Generation Z for Enhanced Hospitality Education: Insights from two Swiss Hospitality Schools

Abstract:

Generation Z, the emerging workforce and learners, often face misunderstanding and undervaluation. The hospitality and tourism sector, including its educational programmes, may struggle to attract this cohort. This article draws upon two years of collaboration with diverse student groups from two Swiss hospitality institutions to illuminate this issue. The primary aim is to offer insights that can help bridge the gap between Generation Z, hospitality educators, and industry trainers.
